You have been hit by a double whammy. First your reason has been restored where the WT is concerned and you have seen it for what it is. Second your feelings are damaged by the break up with your wife and you may want to examine whether your feelings aren't clouding your reasoning? It seems she took a big jump when you divorced by "fornicating". Unconditional forgiveness is often undeserved and the result of self doubt. I'm sure you love her, but is it in both your interests to try and reclaim something your religion and heart may have fabricated? I can't say that's the case but the bond of loving someone is not so easly broken. Does she really love you? You said yourself she wants you to "return to the JW's then maybe get back together". She knows you WONT do that ever so could it be her way of insuring that you bear the guilt of this split? As others have said, clear your head and try to let that one go. Ultimately you know what the reality is, if you dont deny it you will succeed. Good luck.

Literature Cost
by Kool Jo inhello folks:.
just curious....back when they institutued the voluntary donation arrangement for the literature rather than specifying a cost....was the reason related to avoid paying taxes....i heared this somewhere, but checking to see if there's real proof or some letter from the borg.. thanks.

Gotta admit that one really angered me, this "friend of the court" BS. It seemed rather expedient. You or I would have been sanctioned if we pulled that crap!

Supreme Court ruling- refusing to photo gay wedding is discrimination
by SadElder inaccording to bloomberg news:.
http://www.businessweek.com/news/2014-04-07/wedding-photographer-rebuffed-by-top-court-on-same-sex-ceremony.
"the u.s. supreme court turned away an appeal from a new mexico wedding photographer found to have violated a state anti-discrimination law when she refused to take pictures of a commitment ceremony for a same-sex couple.. the photographer, elaine huguenin, argued unsuccessfully that she was being unconstitutionally forced to convey a message conflicting with her religious beliefs.

Overblown snoozefest. Niether interesting nor uninteresting due to Bible "accuracy" or lack thereof. It was just boring and pompous. Aranofsky has done some wonderful things but this one is a waste of time. Each of us has our own opinion. Glad I watched it online, ugh. Had to fast forward through most of it. I would rename it "Noah meets the Transformers."

Reunion- Stepping Back to a Time Before All the JW Stuff Started
by OnTheWayOut inalthough i was exposed to the jw's as a child as the only religion i knew, i was not a jw until i got out of the navy as a conscientious objector.
so i was typical "worldly" when i hit 18 out of high school and i got to see the world before personal catastrophy involving heavy drinking made me turn to the lies that i thought were "the truth.
" so just over 30 years ago, i got the special privilege of serving as the original crew of a brand new ship with a crew slightly over 200. i served 5 years on the "uss worldly" and then left to become a jw.. when you are the first crew, you learn together how to use that ship, how to run things smoothly.

OTWO, the reaching back thing isn't always the best idea for those of us who were always part of the Titanic called the Org. I had 11 years off for bad behavoir because I faded back then before coming back as you did. Even through those years I towed the line of not pursing immorality or drugs so I was a bore to people. Those years were satifsying but they were somewhat solitary because I didn't attend university, just worked and traveled. I kept from forming any close relationships because I knew that if I came back to "the Truth" I would be unevenly yolked. SO to all those faded and young, screw the JW thinking, LIVE, LEARN AND LOVE. Dont let those fools get so into your head you lose the chance to enjoy your youth without guilt.
Thanks for the memories of your Navy days. Glad you have that to remember. I have other things valuable, it hasn't been a waste, but I could'a been a contender!

You're out mentally and she's in mentally. You're on your way out physically, she's on her way in. Do the math. She said take a break, so take one. See if she wanted a theocratic robot man or you. Don't go to another meeting. Dont talk about it at all. Let her see what life is like on the outside and if she thinks that's what she wants with you. Let it play out but dont pretend because you are fooling, not her, but yourself.

Well, if it were the WT's thinking to begin with that it was just a Rock Music Generation that Jesus was talking about he wouldn't have used the word that indicates a generation! lol These fools will do anything to make it work. Hey look what I pulled out of my butt! IT works, lets call it new light.

Easy to believe the FDS gets direction from God if you do this. Did you?
by Wasanelder Once inok how many of you while a jw took the advice to pray on a problem and then open the bible and start reading.
did you seem to get "just the right scripture" that answered your prayer?
they encouraged that where i was.

Ok how many of you while a JW took the advice to pray on a problem and then open the Bible and start reading. Did you seem to get "just the right scripture" that answered your prayer? They encouraged that where I was. The Bible brings comfort, pray on a matter and read the Bible. If you fall for that is it such a leap to accept that the FDS/GOV BODY can do the same but even more effectively when they are anointed and chosen? Did you ever fall into this trap? Know of any JW's who did this? I did it for awhile, amazing what gnawing inner turmoil can find in random picking through the Word of God, lol. Now its just nuts to think I ever thought that was an anwer. Ok discuss.
